Honey produced from many flowers is called Polyflora honey.
The Eğriçayır Plateau, with the plant flora of the Taurus Mountains, has wildflowers such as cornflower and Taurus rock thyme. Due to these geographical features and vegetation, our organic Polyflora flower honey has an intense aroma and mild flavour.
The criteria that ensure a honey is organic are the characteristics of the region, the absence of agriculture in the area, and the fact that the beekeeper does not give antibiotics etc to the bees. In addition to our analyses, our Polyflora flower honey received a gold medal in Apimondia (2019), one of the most prestigious beekeeping awards in the world.
The quality of honey is assessed by “Total Activity (TA).” The higher the TA score, the higher the quality of the honey.
Total activity (TA+) is a globally recognised rating that also indicates the effectiveness of honey against bacteria. The analysis of total activity (TA+) of Eğriçayır honey is between 12+ and 20+. These values are above the world average.
